“Discovery University was created for lifelong learners who enjoy gaining knowledge of a variety of captivating topics,” said Thomas Harrison, CEO and founder, Discovery Senior Living. “In addition to keeping up with what’s going on in the world, seniors have fun learning something new or discussing a unique piece of history. Incorporating these educational and socially enriching activities stimulates the aging mind, greatly enhancing the lives of maturing adults.”

Discovery University’s “The Road to the White House” lecture series is led by Professor Philip Leto III, J.D., chairman of the education department at Discovery University. Leto began his career as an attorney in both public and private practices, then followed his passion for research and communications by becoming a lecturer and educator.

Leto will examine the historical and Constitutional basis for the office of the President, the duties, powers and limitations of the office, biographies of notable American Presidents, and an examination of the important domestic and international issues presented during the primary and general election, and will include discussions on the following: Israel, Iran, Sunni Arabs, ISIS and American Interests in the Middle East; Ronald Reagan; Unconventional Conventions?; and The Electoral College.
